Over the course of a year, Shepsu Aakhu and Chuck Bowen dove head first into Chicago History, Chicago Politics, and Mr. Bowen's personal connection and influence to both. Machine Made is a 75 span of one man's life double knotted with the inner workings of our Democratic city.

Inspired by the life and experiences of Mr. Bowen - through intimate interviews, tea cup chats, and lively anecdotes - Shepsu was allowed into the private mind of a Chicago-Great. A man who made his mark with this city, through this city, and for this city.

This production won't just be eye opening for non-Chicagoans  but an educational awakening for those born, raised, and taught here. The only way to move forward, is to learn from our past. We can only learn from our past when we are willing to have a conversation.
